On Monday, March 23, we will be implementing a new breakfast/lunch pickup. For your convenience, you can now pick up lunch and breakfast for the following day at the same time from 11:00-12:30! Pick-up will continue at the Elementary campus. Thank You!

For families with limited devices, chromebooks will be available for pick-up on Monday, March 23. Due to availability, at this time we are providing one chromebook per family. See the image attached for more information!

Due to an Executive Order issued by Texas Governor Abbott, school will remain closed until April 3, 2020. We will continue to provide breakfast and lunch, as well as education in the non-traditional setting. Please refer to the attached image with a message from Mr. Fryar.


To clarify, the work sent home is not busy work. This is classwork that will be graded and factored into the 5th six weeks report card. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out to teachers for help. Thank You!

Starting today 3-18-2020, breakfast will be served from 8 - 9 a.m. and lunch 11:30 -12:30 p.m. FREE to any child 18 and under. The cafeteria ladies are hard at work to make sure we provide your child with a nutritious meal. These meals will be curbside grab-and-go only. Child must be present.

Classes will be suspended until Thursday, March 19. This is for students only, staff will continue with regular schedules.


I have no doubt that you are aware of the Coronavirus or COVID-19. You have heard numerous news media outlets discussing this over the last several days. RCISD contracts with GermBlast, a professional disinfectant company to disinfect our campuses and buses three times a year. GremBlast disinfected every building and bus during the week of Spring Break. For more information about GremBlast you can go to their website germblast.com. Rest assured that our campus have be disinfected and cleaned, ready for child to return to school on Monday, March 16th. We will have an early release tomorrow, Friday, March 6th. The elementary release times are Pre-K:11:55, K-1st: 12:05, 2nd-5th: 12:10. Have a good Spring Break!

JV Tennis vs Fort Stockton has been CANCELLED for tomorrow Wednesday, March 4th. However, Coach Ybarra will notify the players tomorrow if there is a make-up match in Mertzon.

We will be switching up the menu at Elementary campus this week. Tomorrow, 3-2-20, we will have Country Pot Pie. Thursday, 3-5-20, we will have the Tex-Mex Stack.

There will be a menu change at Elementary campus tomorrow 2-26-2020. We will serve X-Treme Burritos instead of Corn Dogs. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

RCISD has some exciting news to share! There are upcoming changes to the administration at all campuses for the 2020-2021 school year. The changes are as follows: High School Principal-Rene Valeriano, High School Assistant Principal/Head Boys Basketball Coach-Kyle Brown, Middle School Principal-Kalum McKay, and Elementary Principal-Trish Soto!

The softball schedule is now available!


There will be no school on Monday, February 17th. We do not have to make up the day we missed last week!

To clarify, at this time there is only a two hour delay for tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 6th. Unfortunately, the twitter post circulating was not created by RCISD. If there are any changes, a school reach will be made to parents.
