**New Cell Phone Law- What Parents Need to Know Texas House Bill 1481 takes effect for the 2025-2026 school year, directly impacting how students use cell phones in school. Under this new law: Students are not allowed to use cell phones in the school building during the instructional day. Schools must enforce policies that limit or prohibit the use of electronic devices. Reagan County ISD is reviewing and updating our policy to comply with this law. More details will be shared soon, but we wanted to give families a heads-up now so students can begin preparing for the changes. We appreciate your support!
