bond 2022

The Reagan County Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved calling a School Bond Election for November 8, 2022.

The proposal was developed by a committee of community members in conjunction with the staff and administration. Their primary task was to develop and present to the Board of Trustees a long-term plan that included a recommendation for implementation.

“I want to thank our board, staff, and community for their work over the past months to help get us to this point,” Reagan County ISD Superintendent Eric Hallmark said. “This decision is based on carefully considering all areas of need around our district while balancing the expectations from our community.”

School districts in Texas do not receive state funding for renovating or building new schools. We, instead, must receive funds through school bond elections. The District has funded five major projects through sound fiscal management. RCISD has a Superior Achievement Rating A and has one of the lowest tax rates among surrounding districts.
