CHANGE TO SCHOOL COVID PROTOCOL Texas Department of State Health Services has issued a change in their criteria concerning COVID requirements for students being kept home from school. •	DSHS has updated the Texas school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like flu. Students now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. Students DO NOT have to be kept out of school for a positive test for COVID. As with any other illness, all students and staff should not return to school until they have been 24 hours with no fever and without the aid of Tylenol or Ibuprofen or any fever-reducing medication. A fever is 100 degrees or more. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the school nurses below.
